Incremental Rotary Encoder

The simplest and most commonly used encoder that provides information about the instantaneous position of a rotating shaft. The encoder does this by producing one square wave cycle per increment of shaft movement.

BEI incremental encoders are available with resolutions up to 80,000 cycles per turn.
